So if it is very important and we don’t respond within a day, then we never got the message. If you ordered something from our online cart and we don’t ship by the next business day, we will send you an email stating so. We do not hide.

email SPAM Reduction Measures

There has been a lot of spam coming into our mailbox lately and it is getting annoying. So we have implemented some simple changes to cut down on the obvious spam.

These measures include:

  • requests for “message read reply” are NEVER sent. Our email program has been set to never send it. We do not even get asked when reading emails.
  • based on keywords, some messages are automatically sent to the DELETED folder and are never read. These words include some of the common medications in spam, watches and the like, certain websites, and some other items we will not disclose. We do not maintain a complete list or publish it. The list can change as required, we do not publish any changes, and will not provide notice of the changes.
  • some attachments may be deleted without seeing the email
  • we refuse to open some types of attachments

Please use the postal service for sending all important documents unless prior arrangements have been made.

We also use spamcop.net to report spam.

Access to some IP Addresses Denied

The main Sunward site, and affiliated sites, can deny access to certain IP’s address (Internet Protocol). Most of these are based in China.

We did this after monitoring repeated and consistent attacks on the Sunward server. The attacks were attempts to access pages with administrator privileges.

In addition, we have also restricted the use of some email accounts that were used in other attacks. Most of these are also based in China.

We will not publish the list of the IP’s and emails sites and they can change at any time.

At no time was the server or information on the server accessed. Hardware firewalls, monitoring, software firewalls, and strong passwords have been effective.
